Take a break on a long trip to Kochi with a cool gelato.
It is a famous restaurant known as a pioneering presence where you can taste gelato that is particular about local ingredients.
We also recommend a flavor that is packed with seasonal tastes unique to autumn.

Teyu fishing port and bouncing bridge
The next one to visit is Teyuzu Port. I write when I hold my hand and read "Ye". There are two rare things to see here.
The first is commonly known as a bouncing bridge. The bridge over the entrance of the port rises every hour.
The second is the port itself. In 1653, it was completed by Kenzan Nonaka, the elder of the Tosa clan, as Japan's first full-scale "Hori-in Port".
In addition, the scale is one of the largest in the early Edo period, and the "Nippon Construction History" states that it is about 112 meters north-south and about 49 meters east-west.
This port continues to be loved by people as a historical heritage and as a representative landscape of hometown.

Historical walking around Akaoka-cho, Konan City
On the way to Akaokacho, we recommend a roadside station unique to the morning.
In summer, go to Yasuragi City next to Ya Sea Park, which is full of sea bathing.
In the fruitful autumn Yasuragi City, there are many vegetables and fruits grown in Yasu-cho. Please find vegetables and fruits that you have never seen.

Ekinzo
From the parking lot in Akaokacho, while walking along the old highway is "Ekinzo".
Here, there is a folding screen painting left by Kinzo, a painter of the Kano school, who has the Tosa clan.
A folding screen painting that was once kept secretly in a private house in Akaoka town.
Every summer, it seems that he went to the eaves to serve as sun-dried, and the remnants are the "Ekin Festival".
It is here Ekinzo that was made to preserve such folding screens firmly.

Lunch at a local restaurant "Tosao Shoten"
After passing the parking lot in Akaokacho, "Tosao Shoten" is a shop with a friendly mother and a cheerful father (chikin and gossip in Kochi style). Here you can enjoy Kochi's specialty B-grade gourmet Chunichi.
A shop full of charms of the town. The front is a shop and the back is a dining room.
Recommended are the town's soul food "Chunichi Soba" and "Crimen Okoge". Please also enjoy "Nira Tamagoyaki" using the specialty leek of Konan City.
