Introducing a number of local menus in Mercure Kochi Tosa Resort & Spa

All meals are served in a buffet style. The main dish is a common menu of 10 series Mercure hotels. In addition to the common menu of peace of mind, we also have a local menu of the local color that incorporates local colors. Please enjoy dishes that express the characteristics of the area, such as ingredients, cooking methods, and seasoning.
From April 1st, you will be able to see the creative anpan "Anparedo"! Try making "My own anpan" with your favorite arrangements such as bean paste, whipped cream, shiratama dumplings, butter, and soft ice cream in the venue.

Creative Anpan [breakfast menu]

You can see it from breakfast on April 1st. Creative Anpan "Anparedo". Please enjoy making your original Anpan.

Tosa's specialty bonito tataki [dinner menu]

Kochi Prefecture is famous for its single-line fishing of bonito. It is also actively landed in Kyushu, Wakayama, and Shizuoka where the Kuroshio Current flows.
One of the representative dishes of Kochi's bonito is tataki.
Tosa style is eaten with soy sauce (ponzu) squeezed yuzu vinegar (yunosu: yuzu juice) by sandwiching the sliced garlic in a thick cut tataki.  

Tosa's famous Tosa maki [Dinner Menu]

A simple but delicious makizushi. The inside is, of course, dried bonito. In the local area, there are various variations such as tataki or sashimi depending on the shop, but garlic is indispensable for all.
Please try Tosa maki, a specialty of Tosa.

Ginger grilled pork [dinner menu]

Ginger grilled pork which is very popular among all generations. One of the most notable local ingredients is ginger.
Kochi has the highest yield of ginger in Japan (*1). Of course, ginger grilled pork is produced in Kochi Prefecture.
It is a dish that you want to taste the deliciousness of ginger, such as spicy, umami, and fresh juice.

Nirachijimi [Dinner Menu]

Nira from Kochi Prefecture is used as ingredients for Chijimi. This is also the largest yield in Japan, and the national market share occupies about 1/4 (*2). We use plenty of fragrant fresh leeks unique to the production area. Please enjoy the flavor of Nira.

Yuzuan Yaki of Shiira [Dinner Menu]

It is a grilled silly that can be taken well in Kochi Prefecture. It is also famous as a fish that is strong for those who fish by boat, and fun fishing.
With a pale taste, Yuzuan has a good impact and goes well with white rice.
When I go to Hawaii, I line up at the restaurant as a high-class fish called "Mahimahi". It is common to use a large body as steak or steamed.
At the hotel, it is served in Japanese-style pottery in a slice of easy-to-eat size.
It is delicious as it is, but you can enjoy the change of taste by wearing mayonnaise or dressing.

Shimanto Pork (Shimanto Pork) Shabu [Dinner Menu]

In order to fully enjoy the umami of Kochi's brand pork Shimanto pork (Shimanto pork), it is served with shabu-shabu instead of ginger grilled. A gem that you want to taste not only the umami of meat but also the umami of fat.
Ponzu and ponzu are also delicious, but it is recommended that you can feel the umami of pork even if you eat with salt alone.

Bonito nookke bowl, bonito chazuke [breakfast menu]

In response to the voice of wanting to eat bonito for breakfast, we have prepared bonito nookkedon. Unlike tataki at night, it is sliced thinly to match bowls and tea pickles. Please take this product by putting plenty of slices of bonito on white rice. Add a special soup stock to make bonito dashi chazuke. It also stimulates appetite in the morning.

Yuzu refreshing boiled chicken [breakfast menu]

Chicken wings are stewed in rich aroma of yuzu. As the name suggests, you can eat it even in the morning with a refreshing seasoning.

Eggplant with herbs from Tataki Tosa [breakfast menu]

Kochi Prefecture has the highest shipment volume in the winter and spring. (※3)
Eggplant is a specialty vegetable representing Kochi Prefecture. It is also grown in greenhouses around the hotel.
There are various ways to eat, but we offer tataki, one of the simplest ways to eat eggplant.
